Service Area

Travel charges are based on the service location shown on the rate map. Standard mileage is charged in addition to any applicable regional surcharge.

Group I: Standard mileage only
Group II: Standard mileage plus a $20 surcharge
Group III: Standard mileage plus a $30 surcharge
Group IV: Standard mileage plus a $50 surcharge
Group V: Standard mileage plus a $75 surcharge

The following municipalities are designated Group V, notwithstanding their location within Westmoreland County:

• New Kensington

• Arnold

• Lower Burrell

• Upper Burrell

The following nearby Allegheny County municipalities are designated Group II, notwithstanding the county classification shown on the map:

• Monroeville

• Plum

• The Allegheny County portion of Trafford

Written municipal exceptions supersede the county classifications shown on the map.

Mileage is calculated round trip from the office’s normal dispatch point in Penn Township, Westmoreland County. Mileage and the applicable regional surcharge may be charged for each separate trip.

Tolls, parking, lodging, and other extraordinary travel expenses are additional. Multiple assignments at the same location may be combined when practical.

The office reserves the right to provide a written travel quote when distance, travel time, road conditions, tolls, parking, or access requirements make the mapped group impractical.

The applicable travel charges will be confirmed before an assignment is accepted.
